Milford grinds its way to win over Londonderry

Division I
Friday night marks the beginning of another high school football season. Six schools - Pinkerton, Bishop Guertin, Souhegan, Lebanon, Kearsarge and Newport - will try to repeat as champions of their respective divisions.
Division I
Bishop Guertin's Erik Kelly and Souhegan's Stephen Jordan led 33 area players on the high school boys lacrosse all-state teams. The Bedford and Nashua North high school baseball teams both reached the semifinals of the playoffs in their respective divisions this season. No surprise that the two teams combined to put 13 players on the all-state teams. The Bulldogs landed seven players on the Division II team, including three

Taylor Carbone got more than just a Division I softball title this season. The Alvirne High School junior was one of 11 area players named all-state first team.
Division II
The Milford High School boys track team held on late for its first title in program history Saturday, winning the Division II championship by 3.5 points over Lebanon.
Division II
MILFORD - The Pelham High School baseball team was thinking about the past late in Monday's game against Milford. Up by six runs in the seventh inning, the Pythons were remembering the first time they had a late lead against the Spartans this season, and how they needed a walk-off hit to win 8-7.
Division II
AMHERST - The Milford High School boys and girls track teams both finished first, ahead of Bedford, at the Southern Cluster Championship meet at Souhegan High School Tuesday.
Division III-IV
The Souhegan High School baseball team won its third game in a row Monday, beating Milford 14-8.
Division II
HOLLIS - The Milford High School baseball team scored nine runs in the second and held off Hollis/Brookline Monday, 10-5, for its first win of the season.
Division III-IV
The Milford High School baseball team rallied twice, but it was Pelham who got the walk-off win Thursday, beating the Spartans 8-7 in a Division II game.
Division III-IV
MILFORD - Terry Dugdale came within two outs of a no-hitter and the Souhegan High School baseball team scratched out enough offense to beat Milford 3-0 Monday at Keyes Field.
