Milford drops heartbreaker to Pelham

The Milford High School baseball team rallied twice, but it was Pelham who got the walk-off win Thursday, beating the Spartans 8-7 in a Division II game.

Evan Sage drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh for the Pythons after Milford had rallied twice in the game.

The Spartans trailed 4-0 when the scored six runs in the top of the fifth to take the lead, but Pelham went back on top with a run in the fifth and two more in the sixth. Milford tied the game on a RBI by Ryan Britton in the top of the seventh, but the Pythons pushed one more across on the hit by Sage, who was 2-for-4 on the day.

Joe Pellitteri had a three-run double for Milford and Britton, Alex Simo, Matt Scott and Cam Douglas all had two hits.
