Division I
April vacation is here and that means some time off for some high school sports teams. For others, like the Souhegan baseball team, its a full slate of games this week. The Sabers (1-2 in Division II) have played just three games this season and things aren't going to get easier this week.

NASHUA - The Hollis/Brookline High School girls lacrosse team picked up its first win as a member of Division I, beating Nashua South 13-5 Wednesday in the rain at Stellos Stadium.

Over a dozen local players were selected to the NHBCO girls basketball all-state teams Sunday, including four who were named to the first-team of their respective divisions. Also earning honors was Campbell coach Sean Flynn, who was named the Division III Coach of the Year after leading the Cougars

The Alvirne High School boys basketball team got a last-second basket from Tony Beaulieu to upset Merrimack 50-48 in the Division I prelims on Tuesday.

Both the Bishop Guertin High School and the Milford High School boys basketball teams have earned the No. 1 seed in their respective divisions' postseason, which begin this week.

The Alvirne High School girls basketball team lost five games this season and one of those was to Nashua South. The Broncos will get a chance to avenge that loss in the preliminary round of the Division I girls basketball playoffs.

The fourth time was the charm for Joey Page. The junior from Nashua High School North had lost to rival Tyler Ellwood of South three times this season, including last week’s Division I 152-pound championship match.
