The end of the calendar year means that the high school holiday tournaments are growing near. Here is an quick look at where some of the local boys and girls basketball teams will be playing, including the Chick-Fil-A Holiday (Boys) Basketball Tournament and the Nashua (Girls) Holiday Tournament.

The two high school hockey games at Conway Arena on Saturday couldn't have had less of an effect on each other, but Alvirne's Division III win over Souhegan and Bishop Guertin's Division I win over Nashua South had plenty in common.
