Five local runners named to Division I boys cross country all-state team

Jeff LaCoste won every high school cross country race he ran in New Hampshire this season. The Bishop Guertin senior was rewarded for his efforts with a spot on the Division I boys all-state team.

LaCoste was one of five area runners to receive Division I boys honors, while 11 area runners in all were named to the all-state teams.

Division I

LaCoste, who won the Division I and Meet of Champions races and also placed second in New England Championships, was joined on the Division I boys all-state team by teammate Brandon Latham. Also receiving honors were Merrimack's John Conlin, Alvirne's Caleb Donnelly and Nashua North's Spencer Nelson.

Merrimack's Lauren Calvino and Bishop Guertin's Molly McCabe were named to the Division I girls all-state team.

Division II

Bedford's Sam Daly was the lone area runner to be named to the Division II boys all-state team.

On the girls side, Milford's Courtney Hawkins, Souhegan's Pia Marciano and Hollis/Brookline's Meghan Philpot were named to the girls all-state team.
