Both the Wilton-Lyndeborough and Bedford high school boys soccer teams had two players each named to their respective all-state first teams.

Two local boys soccer teams, two girls soccer teams and one volleyball team advanced to the semifinals of their respective tournaments over the weekend, and all will try to advance to the final on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Four local teams - Alvirne, Hollis/Brookline, Nashua North and Bishop Guertin - advanced to the quarterfinals of the Division I girls volleyball tournament Wednesday, while only three of the seven boys and girls soccer teams in action advanced past the first round.
