Offense leads Hollis Brookline boys basketball past Souhegan at Chick-Fil-A Holiday Tournament
NASHUA - Matt Fothergill scored 29 points as the Hollis Brookline High School boys basketball found its offense in a 72-53 win over Souhegan on the final day of the Chick-Fil-A Holiday Tournament.

Fothergill was 10 of 12 from the free throw line and the Cavaliers were 22 of 26 as a team. Patch Zorn was also in double figures with 10 points and Riley Hamel had nine, all on 3-pointers, as HB's point total eclipsed that of its first two games in the tournament.
Souhegan got 23 points from Alex Hill, as he finished the three-day tournament as the Sabers' leading scorer with an average of 20.7 points. Isaac Nevrla added 14 points for Souhegan, which trailed by six, 59-53, with 3:35 to go. But the Sabers wouldn't score again and HB went 12 of 14 from the free throw line the rest of the way.
HB returns to action on Saturday when it hosts St. Thomas, while Souhegan is back at it on Jan. 6 when it hosts Milford in the second annual Tony's Games.
