Around the Granite State: Winnacunnet field hockey picks up win over Bedford (video)
Here are results from Friday's high school sports action.
HAMPTON - Sofia Donatelli scored twice to help the Winnacunnet High School field hockey team to a 4-1 win Friday over Bedford.
McKinley Fowler and Megan Kelly also had goals for the Warriors (14-0, No. 1 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll), with Kelly's goal giving her side a 2-1 lead early in the third quarter.
Fiona McAfee, Avery Wood and Emily Arlington each had an assist for Winnacunnet and Riley Gagalis finished with six saves.
The Bulldogs (9-6, No. 6) got a goal from Mary Lenti, while Brielle Champagne made five saves.
No. 2 Souhegan 3, Lebanon 0
The Sabers picked up a road win over the Raiders, recording their 10th shutout of the season.
Ella Russell had a goal and an assist for Souhegan (13-0-2) while Eme Godin and Abbey Gray also scored. Mariellah Dart had an assist and made a defensive save while goalie Liv Harrison had three saves.
Hopkinton 6, Conant 0
The Hawks picked up a shutout win over the Orioles on their senior night.
Autumn Meier led the way with four goals while Ryan Barrett had a goal and two assist for Hopkinton (10-2). Mary Maughan also had a goal and Gigi Upton played well defensively.
Girls Volleyball
Portsmouth Christian 3, Conant 0
The Eagles got the sweep of the Orioles. Game scores were 25-10, 25-11 and 25-8.
Caroline Braman had nine kills and Lexi Jordan had 15 assists and four aces for PCA (11-1). Lauryn Flynn had eight aces while Molly Marquis and Molly Conner had six aces apiece.
