BEDFORD - The Bedford High School boys tennis team took its first step toward a championship Tuesday, defeating Pelham 6-0 in the Division II quarterfinals in a rain-shortened match.

MILFORD - The Pelham High School baseball team was thinking about the past late in Monday's game against Milford. Up by six runs in the seventh inning, the Pythons were remembering the first time they had a late lead against the Spartans this season, and how they needed a walk-off hit to win 8-7.

Alvirne finishes season with win over Dover
The Alvirne High School baseball team scratched out a 2-1 win over Dover Monday in its final game of the regular season. The Broncos scored the winning run on a double steal, and freshman Robbie Flohr pitched six innings, allowing one run on three hits and four strikeouts.

Bedford boys looking for second title
The Bedford High School boys tennis team will be looking for its second-straight title when the playoffs start Tuesday, and this year, the Bulldogs will be the No. 1 seed. Bedford is among four local teams competing in this year's boys tennis playoffs.

BG, Bedford top seeds in girls tennis playoffs
Both the Bishop Guertin and Bedford High School girls tennis teams earned the No. 1 seed in their respective divisions. Bishop Guertin, which has won more than 30 consecutive matches, enters the Division I playoffs with the top seed after finishing the regular season 14-0.

The Lebanon High School baseball team scored three runs in the fifth inning and limited a Souhegan rally in the bottom of the frame to beat the Sabers 7-6 on Saturday.

The Hollis/Brookline High School boys tennis team picked up its second win of the season over Souhegan, beating the Sabers 7-2 Saturday.
