# Windham makes a move up in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Football Coaches Poll

The football season is into its fifth week, and once again, there is a new team in the fifth spot in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll.

Windham jumped up three spot in this week's poll to finish out the top five, as the Jaguars joined Concord, Pinkerton, Bedford and Salem as teams that have held that spot so far this season. 

Bishop Guertin held on to the top spot for the fourth week in a row, as the Cardinals received 18 first-place votes while Winnacunnet was again at No. 2, getting two first-place votes. 

After its Mack Plaque win last week, Pinkerton traded places with Londonderry, as the Astros moved up to No. 3 and the Lancers went to No. 4\. Windham, coming off a win over Salem, rounded out the top five. 

Concord dropped a spot to No. 6 and Exeter remained at No. 7 for the second week in a row. 

Portsmouth-Oyster River moved up a spot to No. 8, while Bedford also moved up a spot to No. 9 after stopping its two-game skid. Following its second straight loss, Salem slid four spots to No. 10\. 

Here is this week's New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Football Coaches Poll. These are the top 10 football teams in the state, with this year's record, first-place votes/points (T=tie) and last week's ranking.

1. Bishop Guertin (4-0), 18/198, 1st
2. Winnacunnet (4-0), 2/180, 2nd
3. Pinkerton (3-1), 157, 4th
4. Londonderry (3-1), 125, 3rd
5. Windham (3-1), 115, 8th
6. Concord (3-1), 110, 5th
7. Exeter (2-2), 59, 7th
8. Portsmouth-Oyster River (2-2), 36, 9th
9. Bedford (2-2), 35, 10th
10. Salem (1-2), 32, 6th

**Also receiving votes:** Souhegan (4-0), 21; Plymouth (4-0), 20; Alvirne (2-2), 2; Nashua North (2-2), 1; Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough (4-0), 1\. 

The coaches poll is voted on by football coaches from around the state and members of the media. The poll will be updated every Monday throughout the regular season.
