The field hockey regular season is off to a great start, with the teams that started the year at the top of the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll leading the way.
The field hockey regular season is off to a great start, with the teams that started the year at the top of the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll leading the way.
They've done so well in fact, the top four all held on to their spots from the preseason poll.
Pinkerton was once again the top team, receiving four first-place votes, while only four points seperated the next three. Winnacunnet held on at No. 2, getting three first-place votes, while Souhegan got two first-place votes and stayed at No. 3, but pulled within a point of the Warriors.
Keene remained at No. 4 this week, just three points behind Souhegan, while also picked up a first-place vote.
Londonderry moved up a spot to round out the top five, as the Lancers also received a first-place votes.
Dover jumped two spots to take the sixth spot in the poll while Bow held on at No. 7. Bedford dropped three spots to come in at No. 8 and Bishop Guertin held on at No. 9.
Exeter moved up to take the final spot in the top 10, bumping John Stark out of the poll.

The coaches poll is voted on by field hockey coaches from around the state and members of the media. The poll will be updated every Monday throughout the regular season.
