With all COVID-19 restrictions removed for this spring, I had an easier time getting out to games this season. In all, I saw all or parts of 26 girls lacrosse games this spring. While there were many great games throughout the state this season, this list is the top five games that I saw in person.

### No. 5: Souhegan 6, Pinkerton 5 (May 5)

It felt like the Sabers had possession for about 40 of the game's 50 minutes, as they were able to get out to an early lead and slow the pace way down. Down 5-2 with under 13 minutes to play, the Astros came back and tied the game in just over five minutes. After a timeout, the Sabers were able run a couple of minutes off the clock before a goal by Elle Stevenson with 3:29 left put them back in front and Souhegan was able to run out the clock.

### No. 4: Nashua South 12, Exeter 9 (May 10)

The Blue Hawks looked like they were in control of the game, going on a 5-0 run, capped by back-to-back goals less than a minute into the second half, to take an 8-3 lead. But over the next 10 minutes, the Panthers answered with a 7-0 run to take a 10-8 lead and held on for South's first win over Exeter.

### No. 3: Bishop Guertin 12, Franklin (Mass.) 10 (May 14)

On one of the hottest days of the spring, the Cardinals got out to a good lead in the first half and led by as many as six goals in the second half, including 12-6 with 9:43 to play. But Franklin controlled the final five draws and kept possession for most of the final nine minutes, cutting the lead down to two before time ran out.

### No. 2: Bow 14, Hopkinton 13 (May 9)

Hopkinton won the first meeting between the two teams, 13-12 in overtime, and it looked like the Hawks might do it again, taking an 8-5 lead early in the second half. But Bow responded with an 8-1 run to take a 13-9 lead with a little more than 10 minutes remaining. Hopkinton answered with a 3-0 run to make it a one-goal game, but the Falcons were able to hang on for the win. The Hawks would later return the favor in the Division III championship game.

### No. 1: Bishop Guertin 10, Pinkerton 9 (OT) (May 19)

Pinkerton got out to leads of 3-0 and 5-2 in the first half before Bishop Guertin came back and tied it going into halftime. The Astros received two yellow cards near the end of the half, giving the Cardinals a two-player advantage to start the second, and they capitalized, taking a 7-5 lead. That lead stretched to three goals before Pinkerton came back, going on a 4-0 run to lead 9-8 with 5:35 remaining. After winning the draw, the Astros tried to kill the remaining time, but turned the ball over with about 30 seconds left, setting up Bishop Guertin's tying goal with 1.1 seconds remaining in regulation. The Cardinals then scored in overtime to get the win.
