The spring sports preseason started on Monday, but the games won't start for real for three more weeks, so it's the perfect time to start circling some dates on the calendar.

Here are some of the top games to look out for in 2023 in Division I boys lacrosse, in chronological order. Schedules are subject to change, so check with your respective teams to make sure a date or time hasn't changed.

### April 12: Manchester at Pinkerton

- This is the first game in D1 for any Manchester program after Memorial and Central both dropped down to D2 more than five years ago. The Kings jump right into the fire, with a game at the Astros to start the season. They follow it up with a home opener against Bishop Guertin two days later.

### April 17: Merrimack at Londonderry

- This is a rematch of last year's quarterfinal game, won by the Lancers, when the teams finished fourth and fifth in the regular season. Both teams return a good portion of their rosters from last season, meaning this could be another battle between potential playoff teams.

### April 20: Pinkerton at Exeter

- Before the pandemic, the Astros won the previous eight meetings with the Blue Hawks, including twice in the semifinals. Since then, Exeter has turned the tables and won the last five against Pinkerton. For the first time in a while, they'll only play once during the regular season.

### April 25: Bishop Guertin at Bedford

- This game is part of a special day of lacrosse between the two schools, as both boys and girls programs will play junior varsity and varsity games at Bedford on the Tuesday of vacation week. Games will begin at 1:30 p.m., with the boys varsity playing at 4:30 p.m. and the girls going off at 6:30 p.m.

### April 27: Exeter at Bishop Guertin

- The first of two regular-season games between the teams that played in last year's D1 championship game will take place in Nashua at Stellos Stadium. They'll go to Exeter for a second game on May 2.

### May 4: Nashua North vs. Nashua South

- The Panthers have won nine in a row in the series, going back to May 17, 2017\. This will be the first of two chances for the Titans to break that streak, as the teams will meet again on May 17\. Both games will be part of a varsity doubleheader with the girls programs.

### May 18: Pinkerton at Bishop Guertin

- The biggest rivalry in New Hampshire high school lacrosse, the Astros were the last in-state team to beat the Cardinals, back in the 2019 D1 championship game. The teams have played in the title game 11 times, including seven in a row from 2013-19.

### May 26: Bedford at Pinkerton

- Great way to end the regular season, with the Bulldogs visiting the Astros. Pinkerton has won eight in a row against Bedford, dating back to June 10, 2015, although many of those games have been close. That includes last year, when the Astros won 5-2 in the first week of the year.
