Division III-IV
The Souhegan Pirates stayed alive in the Senior Babe Ruth Southern Division tournament, beating Walpole 11-1 in five innings on Sunday. The game was shortened due to the mercy rule. James Astbury got the win for the Pirates, pitching a complete game while striking out seven and allowing three hits.

Nick Hession hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning to lead the Souhegan Pirates to a 10-9 win over Keene Thursday in Senior Babe Ruth action. Bishop Guertin high school lacrosse players Matt Bayne Ward and Adam Hall helped lead the Cardinals to their third Division I championship this spring. Both players were recognized for their individual seasons, as Bayne Ward was named the DI Offensive Player of the Year and Hall earned the division'

Eight local high school girls lacrosse players were named first-team all-state for the 2010 season. Souhegan, Nashua South, Bishop Guertin, Merrimack and Hollis/Brookline each had six girls receive all-state honors.
Division III-IV
SALEM – There were plenty of hits and runs at the Salem High School baseball field on Tuesday. The same can’t be said of daylight. Milford Post 23 and Salem Post 63 combined for 27 runs on 33 hits in eight innings of play, as the American Legion game was called because of darkness with Milford up 14

Getting nine high school basketball players to show up for what amounts to an exhibition game during the heart of the summer is just short of a miracle. Getting 18 of them to show very well could be one.

MILFORD – Ed Coulombe knew what to expect when his Jutras Post 43 baseball team played Milford Post 23 at Keyes Field on Friday. Unfortunately, his starting nine weren’t as prepared.

The Hollis/Brookline Dodgers scored 12 runs in the first inning and held on to defeat the Souhegan Pirates, 13-11, in Senior Babe Ruth action on Friday.
