Sunapee beats Colebrook to win D4 baseball title

The Sunapee High School baseball team had an answer for every Colebrook rally Saturday, as the Lakers pulled out a 13-9 win to take the Division IV crown at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester.

The game was delayed in the first inning for 50 minutes, and when it finally ended, Sunapee had a 6-3 lead. The No. 2 Mohawks made it an 11-9 game in the top of the sixth inning, but the No. 1 Lakers came back again to push the lead to four.

For Sunapee, its the school's sixth championship and first since 1996.
