O'Loughlin scored 16 in the first half as the Spartans used a 23-2 run over the final 5:34 of the first quarter to take control of the game. Mike Mitchell added 16 points for Milford (2-0 in Division II) and Jamie Holder had nine points while picking up three fouls in the first half.

The Cavaliers (0-2) got 16 points from Mason Stone and nine points from Tim Rencken. H/B led just once, 7-4 before Milford's first-quarter run, as the Cavs scored two points over a seven-minute stretch of the first half.
Milford also got nine points from Logan Barlow, who was making his first start for the Spartans. Barlow was replacing Scott McCallum, who is out for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in Milford's season-opening win at Kearsarge Friday.
