Souhegan rolls to third win of the season

The Souhegan High School girls tennis team sure is consistent. For the third time in three matches this season, the Sabers won 8-1, this time over Monadnock on Monday.

The Souhegan High School girls tennis team sure is consistent.

For the third time in three matches this season, the Sabers won 8-1, this time over Monadnock on Monday.

Emily Readdy won the No. 1 singles match, beating Megan Chicione 8-0, while Alex Silva beat Monique Giroux, 8-0, in the No. 2 match. Readdy and Silva teamed up to beat Giroux and Ranee Morse, 8-1, in the No. 1 doubles match.

Emily Parrett handed Morse another loss by winning the No. 3 singles match 8-1. Mia Ommundsen picked up a win at No. 4 by beating Charlotte Brown 8-1. Caroline Hagen also won the No. 5 match, recording an 8-1 win over Sophia Recarte.

The only Souhegan loss came at No. 6, where Maura Belanger fell to Jill McLeavy, 8-4.

Parrett and Ommundsen also defeated Chicione and Brown, 8-3, in No. 2 doubles, while Belanger and Hagen knocked off McLeavy and Recarte 8-0.
