The Souhegan High School baseball team scored four runs in the sixth inning to defeat Oyster River 8-3 on Friday.

The Souhegan High School baseball team scored four runs in the sixth inning to defeat Oyster River 8-3 on Friday.
Robby McCormick picked up the win in his first varsity start, going 6 1/3 innings, striking out six while allowing three hits and two earned runs.
Souhegan (4-3 in Division II) trailed 2-1 in the top of the fifth when Tim Beliveau hit an inside-the-park home run to tie the game, and the Sabers took the lead in the sixth.
Tyler Manoogian reached on an error and stole second before scoring on a double by Matt Schagrin. Bobby Graham followed with a RBI single, scoring Schagrin to make it 4-2, and Terry Dugdale reached on another error to put two runners on base. Chris Chininis drove both home with a single to make it 6-2.
The Sabers added two more runs in the top of the seventh. Chris Almeida and Manoogian walked and both advanced on stolen bases with two outs in the inning. Graham brought the runners home with a single.
Manoogian scored the first run of the game in the first when he singled, went to second on an error, took third on an infield out and scored on another error.
