Souhegan girls volleyball beats Pelham in five

The Souhegan High School girls volleyball team picked up its second straight win, and third in its last four matches, beating Pelham in five games.

The Sabers (4-5) took the first two, 25-16, 25-18, but the Pythons (3-7) came back, winning 25-16 and 25-23, to force a fifth game. Souhegan pulled out the win by taking the game 15-12.

Keelie Mackelvey led Souhegan with five kills and added 12 service points, while Emily Shaw had 16 service points.

Souhegan goes on the road to face Windham on Wednesday.
