Sara Noble got the lone win for the Sabers (6-5), winning the No. 3 match by default when Portsmouth's Savannah Federo went down with an injury.
Portsmouth's Lindsay Duplessis won the No. 1 match over Emily Parrett, 8-0, and Ally Greco took the No. 2 match for the Clippers (9-1) over Maeve Morgan, also by a score of 8-0. Kenzie Rhodes defeated Emily Hagen 8-0 at No. 3 while Gabrielle Nichols won the No. 5 match 8-2 over Lindsay Moss and Eliza McLoed was an 8-0 winner at No. 6, beating Lizzie Callahan.
The No. 1 doubles match was the closest of the day, as Duplessis and Rhodes defeated Parrett and Morgan 8-6. Greco and McLoed won the No. 2 match, besting Hagen and Noble 8-3, while Nichols and Freedman won the No. 3 match, 8-2 over Moss and Callahan.
Souhegan returns to the court on Friday when it hosts Bedford (10-1).
