The Souhegan High School girls tennis team picked up an 8-1 win over Pelham at Jasper Valley on Wednesday.
For the second straight match, Emily Readdy and Alex Silva both won their singles matches by an 8-0. Readdy won the No. 1 match against Kammi Mickle, while Silva defeated Kayla Socires in the No. 2 match.
Emily Parrett knocked off Jacky Ta, 8-1, at No. 3 and Mia Ommundsen defeated Lauren Taco, 8-1, at No. 4. Caroline Hagen won the No. 5 match, 8-1, over Rebecca Day, while Maura Belanger defeated Lauren Carrick at No. 6, 8-0.
Parret and Ommundsen won the No. 1 doubles match, beating Ta and Socires, 8-1, while Belanger and Rebecca Trouwee knocked off Mickle and Taco, 8-3, in the No. 2 match. Pelham's lone win came at No. 3 doubles, where Day and Carrick defeated Katie Casper and Erin Heaney, 8-1.
Souhegan (2-0) will play at Hollis/Brookline on Friday.
