# Souhegan boys defeat St. Thomas

The Souhegan High School boys tennis team picked up its fifth win of the season Friday, beating St. Thomas 7-2.

Nick Poulack and Nate Redington both won their singles matches and teamed up to get a doubles victory for the Sabers (5-2 in Division II).

Poulack won the No. 1 singles match 8-3 over Ian Motern, while Redington won the No. 4 match 8-5 over Dan Tobin. The two also teamed up to beat Motern and Tobin in the No. 1 doubles match 8-6.

Matt Protzmann won the No. 3 singles match for Souhegan, beating Neil Hallock 8-3, while Ben Bacher defeated Luke Gabriel 8-0 in the No. 5 match. St. Thomas got a win at No. 2 from Matt Mei, who knocked off Liam Murphy 9-8 (7-3), and Jon Kiskinis won the No. 6 match 8-6 over Jason Emmond.

Murphy and Protzmann won the No. 2 doubles match over Mei and Hallock, 8-1, and Bacher and Emmond won at No. 3, 8-0.
