The spring sports preseason started on Monday, but the games won’t start for real for three more weeks, so it’s the perfect time to start circling some dates on the calendar.

Here are some of the top games to look out for in 2024 in Division I boys lacrosse, in chronological order. Schedules are subject to change, so check with your respective teams to make sure a date or time hasn’t changed.

### April 15: Pinkerton at Bedford

- The first of two meetings between the two teams scheduled for the regular season. The Astros have won nine straight against the Bulldogs going back to the D1 semifinals in 2015, and that was after Bedford won the first two meetings ever between the two programs. Pinkerton won last year's lone meeting, 9-8, on the final day of the regular season; they'll meet in the finale again this year, in Derry on May 24.

### April 15: Nashua North at Manchester

- For the second year in a row, these two teams will meet twice in April. A year ago, they played two intense games with the Titans winning each one by a goal. The second game will be April 23 in Nashua.

### April 23: Bedford at Bishop Guertin

- Last year's meeting, a 10-4 win by the Cardinals, was the 10th win in 10 games for Bishop Guertin against Bedford, but it was the lowest goal total the Bulldogs have allowed in those 10 meetings. It was also just the second time in the series the game was decided by fewer than eight goals, and the first time since 2016.

### April 26: Bishop Guertin at Exeter

- These two will meet twice again this season, with the first game played at Bill Ball Stadium. Since 2021, the Blue Hawks have lost just eight games to in-state competition; six of those have come against the Cardinals. The teams will meet again in Nashua on May 3.

### May 1: Pinkerton at Londonderry

- For the first time in a while, these rivals are only scheduled to play once this season. In each of the last two years, the first game between them has been a one-goal win for the Astros, with Pinkerton then comfortably winning the second meeting.

### May 2: Nashua South vs. Nashua North

- The Panthers had won nine in a row from their Gate City rivals until the Titans took both meetings a year ago. This will be the first of two meetings again this year, with the second scheduled for May 15, and both games are part of a varsity doubleheader with the girls programs.

### May 16: Bishop Guertin at Pinkerton

- A rematch of last year's championship game, it was the first time the teams met in the final since 2019, which was also the last time the Cardinals lost to a team from New Hampshire. The teams traded wins from 2015-19, but since 2021, Bishop Guertin has won six straight against the Astros.

### May 20: Merrimack at Bedford

- A rematch of last year's D1 quarterfinal, won by the Tomahawks, 9-8 in overtime. That came just 12 days after Bedford had beaten Merrimack by 10 goals in the final week of the regular season. The playoff win sent the Tomahawks to the semifinals for the first time in program history, while denying the Bulldogs just their second final four appearance since 2017.
