Sabers stay unbeaten with big third quarter

The Souhegan High School girls basketball team outscored Oyster River 19-6 in the third quarter Tuesday night and went on to beat the Bobcats 55-37 in Durham.

Jane White had 23 points for the Sabers (10-0) and Christan Wojtas had 14 points as Souhegan turned a one-point halftime lead into a 14-point lead in the third quarter. The Sabers outscored the Bobcats (9-3) 34-17 in the second half.

Danielle Walczak led Oyster River with 15 points, as Souhegan used a 2-3 zone in an attempt to slow her down.

The Sabers get right back at it Wednesday night, when they host Portsmouth at 6:30 p.m.
