Sabers go on the road to take down Huskies

The Souhegan High School baseball team stayed perfect on the season, going on the road to beat Monadnock, 9-1, in a Class I game.

The Sabers (7-0) scored five runs in the fourth inning to break the game open. Nick Hession went five innings, allowing two hits to the first two batters of the game and one run. He also struck out three. Tyler Manoogian pitched the final three innings, giving up a hit and striking out four.

Matt Schagrin had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs while Manoogian had a two-run double. Hession, Rob McCormack and George Mukai also drove in runs and Joe Aunio had a solo home run.

Terry Dugdale and Bobby Graham played well defensively on the left side of the infield.

Souhegan will host Milford on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.
