Sabers get win over Pythons

The Souhegan High School girls tennis team won four of six singles matches to beat Pelham 7-2.

Emily Parrett won the No. 1 match for the Sabers (3-4), beating Lauren Tocco 8-1, and Souhegan's Maeye Morgan defeated Kammi Mickle 8-6 in the No. 2 match.

Katie Casper got a win at No. 4 for the Sabers, knocking off Lisa Yeaton 8-2, and Lindsay Moss took the No. 6 match with an 8-1 win over Meghan Barcelos.

Pelham's Rebecca Day won the No. 3 match by beating Emily Hagen 8-5, while Marissa Daigle defeated Sara Noble 8-5 at No. 5.

The Sabers swept the doubles matches, with Parrett and Morgan beating Mickle and Tocco 8-1 and Hagen at No.1 and Hagen and Caspet winning at No. 2 8-2 over Day and Yeaton. Noble and Moss knocked off Daigle and Barcelos 8-3 at No. 3.
