The Souhegan High School girls tennis team improved its record to 4-4 on the season by beating Goffstown 7-2 on Friday.

Emily Parrett won for the sixth time in eight singles matches for the Sabers this year, beating Devan Caine 8-4 in the No. 1 match. Parrett also teamed with Maive Morgan to win the No. 1 doubles match over Caine and Emma Sheppard, 8-4.

Morgan won the No. 2 singles match by beating Sheppard 8-2, and Emily Hagen won the No. 3 match, knocking off Kimberly MacPhail 8-3\. Souhegan's Katie Casper got an 8-5 win over Catie Veilleux in the No. 4 match and teammate Lindsay Moss beat Taylor Giammarino 8-4 in the No. 6 match.

Goffstown's Lauren Stillman won the No. 5 match, beating Sara Noble 8-6.

Noble and Moss won the No. 3 doubles match, 8-6 over Stillman and Giammarino, while MacPhail and Veilleux won the No. 2 match against Hagen and Casper, 8-4.
