The Souhegan High School baseball team saw its season come to an early end after being upset by Merrimack Valley in the first round of the Class I playoffs.

The No. 5 Sabers (13-4) fell behind early and couldn't come back against the No. 12 Pride.

Matt Schagrin had a solo home run for Souhegan. In the seventh inning, Alex Lyon singled and stole second before scoring on a single by Chris Chininis.
