Sabers come up short against Raiders

The Lebanon High School baseball team scored three runs in the fifth inning and limited a Souhegan rally in the bottom of the frame to beat the Sabers 7-6 on Saturday.

The loss started a busy finish to the regular season for Souhegan (6-5 in Division II), which ends the year by playing five games over the next seven days.

Robby McCormick started for the Sabers and allowed one earned run in four innings, while Connor Cinque made his varsity appearance on the mound. Zack Polio pitched the final 2 2/3 innings for Souhegan.

Chris Almeida went 2-for-3 with a run scored and Tim Beliveau was 3-for-3 with four RBIs.

The Sabers will head to Hollis/Brookline on Monday for a 4 p.m. start.
