# Saber girls drop season opener

The Souhegan High School girls tennis team dropped its first match of the season, falling to Coe-Brown Academy 7-2 on Friday.

Emily Parrett had a hand in both of the Sabers' wins, picking up an 8-4 win over Noey Strutters in the No. 1 singles match, and teaming with Maeye Morgan to win the No. 1 doubles match 8-4.

Morgan fell in the No. 2 singles match to Coe-Brown's Shannon Ketenez 8-6, while Emily Hagen lost to Brooke Smith 8-4 in the No. 3 match. Coe-Brown's Carrie Tilton knocked off Katie Casper 8-2 in the No. 4 match and Nikki D'alesandro defeated Sara Noble 8-6 in the No. 5 match. Souhegan's Lindsay Moss also fell in the No. 6 match 8-6 to Renae Zwick.

Smith and Tilton defeated Hagen and Casper 8-6 in the No. 2 doubles match while D'alesandro and Zwick took the No. 3 match 8-4 over Noble and Moss.
