# Reyes, Griffin, Huskies headed to a BCS Bowl

Two former New Hampshire high school football stars are going to get their day in the sun with the Connecticut football team.

With the Huskies' [19-16](http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-football/story/2010-12-04/uconn-captures-big-east-title-earns-bcs-bowl-berth?ref=nh-highschoolsports.com) [win over South Florida](http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=303380058&ref=nh-highschoolsports.com) Saturday night, UConn finished in a three-way tie with West Virginia and Pittsburgh for first place in the Big East. But because of UConn's wins over WVU and Pitt, the Huskies won the conference title and earned the BCS bowl berth that comes with it.

Kendall Reyes, a Nashua North graduate, and Ryan Griffin, a Londonderry graduate, are both members of the Huskies and have played key roles this season. Reyes, a redshirt junior, as started all year at defensive tackle, while Griffin, a sophomore tight end, had three catches for 21 yards against South Florida.

UConn will find out Sunday which BCS bowl it will head to and who it will face. The Huskies will likely go to the Fiesta Bowl to face Big 12 champion Oklahoma, or to the Orange Bowl, where they would take on ACC champion Virginia Tech.
