Plymouth, Souhegan move into this week's New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Football Coaches Poll
The stretch run is just about here, so it's a perfect time for the top 10 to get a little shakeup.
The stretch run is just about here for the high school football season, and for the first time in 2026, a pair of Division II teams have joined the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll.
Plymouth and Souhegan, both 5-0 in D2, climbed into the final two spots in this week's top 10, the first time this season a team outside of D1 has moved into the poll.
Bishop Guertin was a unanimous choice for the top spot, receiving all 21 first-place votes, while Pinkerton received every second-place vote to move up to No. 2, the highest the Astros have been this year since take the top spot in the preseason poll.
Windham, coming off its win over Winnacunnet, moved up two spots to come in at No. 3 while Londonderry remained at No. 4. The Warriors, who took their first loss of the season agains the Jaguars, dropped three spots to No. 5.
Concord saw its three-game win streak snapped by Pinkerton, but the Crimson Tide were able to hang on to sixth in the poll. After Portsmouth-Oyster River's comeback win over Exeter, the teams traded places in the poll, with the ClipperCats taking No. 7 and the Blue Hawks dropping to No. 8.
Plymouth and Souhegan rounded out the top 10, coming in at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively, bumping Bedford and Salem out of the poll for the first time this season.

The coaches poll is voted on by football coaches from around the state and members of the media. The poll will be updated every Monday throughout the regular season.
