Playoffs scenarios going into Saturday's football games

Here's a look at what's been decided and what's on the line in the final day of the New Hampshire high school football season.

Division I

It's a wrap. Bedford's 26-6 win over Manchester Central on Friday gave the Bulldogs the final playoff spot and the rest of the night's action locked up most other remaining issues.

One of those issues was who would be the No. 1 overall seed, and with Winnacunnet and Salem both finishing at 9-0, they both finish with the same rating. The tiebreaker that would split them would be rating in road games against division opponents, which Salem wins.

Here's what the field should look like when the playoff pairings are announced on Monday.

North/East Cluster

• No. 4 Bedford at No. 1 Winnacunnet
• No. 3 Exeter at No. 2 Goffstown

South/West Cluster

• No. 4 Londonderry at No. 1 Salem
• No. 3 Pinkerton at No. 2 Nashua South

Division II

Pelham's 16-0 win over Manchester West on Friday means that Saturday's game between Hollis Brookline and Souhegan is for a playoff spot. Here's what could end up happening.

• A Souhegan win gets the Sabers into the playoffs and likely means Pelham is in and HB is out, unless Bow loses to Lebanon and ConVal loses to Windham. Then Souhegan, Pelham and HB would all be in.
• An HB win gets the Cavaliers into the playoffs and likely means Souhegan is in and Pelham is out, unless Bow loses to Lebanon and ConVal loses to Windham. Then HB, Pelham and Souhegan would all be in.
• A Bow win over Lebanon gets the Falcons into the playoffs, and likely eliminates ConVal and HB, if it loses, or Pelham, if HB wins.
• A ConVal win over Windham combined with an HB loss to Souhegan would likely get the Cougars into the playoffs and knock out HB.

Also at stake with Saturday's games are the following.

• Windham would lock up the No. 1 seed and South Conference title with a win over ConVal.
• Plymouth would secure the No. 2 seed and North Conference title with a win over Milford.
• The winner of John Stark-Hanover will get a home game in the quarterfinals.

Division III

After losing to Somersworth on Friday night, Bishop Brady is now huge Kearsarge fans, as the Giants need the Cougars to beat Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough on Saturday to get the final playoff spot in the division.

A win by ILM would likely give the Lakers and the Cougars the final two playoff spots, while a Kearsarge win would put it and the Giants into the postseason.
