While the Lancers have already clinched their first playoff berth since 2014, the Panthers still need a win, either this week or next against Bishop Guertin, to officially reach the postseason, the biggest thing each team is playing for is pride. South is on a five-game winning streak after losing its first two games of the season, but those wins have come against teams that are a combined 10-25\. And in those two losses to open the year, the Panthers were outscored, 68-20, against Salem and Pinkerton. Meanwhile, Londonderry finishes with what it's toughest two-game stretch of the season, facing South this week and Salem at home to finish the regular season. A win likely won't change the Lancers standing in the postseason, but it would be a shot of confidence with the playoffs right around the corner. Here's a look at what is at stake this week for the teams that are in contention for the postseason. ## South/West Cluster ### Salem (7-0) - Hosts Nashua North (4-3) on Friday; plays at Londonderry (6-1) on Oct. 27. - Current position: First place in South Conference and No. 1 seed in cluster. - The Blue Devils have clinched a playoff spot, and have the inside track at a home game and the No. 1 seed in the cluster, but likely won't clinch either until the final week of the regular season. ### Nashua South (5-2) - Hosts Londonderry (6-1) on Friday; plays at Bishop Guertin (1-6) on Oct. 27. - Current position: First place in West Conference and No. 2 seed in cluster. - South can clinch a playoff spot and a home playoff game with a win over Londonderry on Friday, or with a Nashua North loss to Salem. The Panthers have an outside shot at the No. 1 seed with a win over Londonderry and a Lancers' win over Salem in the finale. ### Pinkerton (6-1) - Plays at Keene (0-7) on Friday; plays at Merrimack (3-4) on Oct. 27. - Current position: Second place in South Conference and No. 3 seed in cluster. - The Astros have clinched a playoff spot, but would need to win out and get a lot of help to overtake Salem as the top team in the South Conference. ### Londonderry (6-1) - Plays at Nashua South (5-2) on Friday; hosts Salem (7-0) on Oct. 27. - Current position: Third place in South Conference and No. 4 seed in cluster. - The Lancers have clinched a playoff spot, and would need to win out and get a lot of help to move up from the fourth seed. ### Nashua North (4-3) - Plays at Salem (7-0) on Friday; hosts Keene (0-7) on Oct. 28. - Current position: Second place in West Conference and outside of the playoffs. - North's only chance of making the playoffs is if the Titans win out and South loses both of its remaining games. **Eliminated:** Merrimack (3-4), Timberlane (2-5), Bishop Guertin (1-6), Alvirne (1-6), Keene (0-7). ## North/East Cluster ### Winnacunnet (7-0) - Plays at Manchester Central (5-2) on Friday; plays at Spaulding (1-6) on Oct. 27. - Current position: First place in the East Conference and No. 1 seed in the cluster. - Winnacunnet has already clinched a playoff spot and the East Conference title, giving the Warriors their first D1 playoff berth in the current format. They'd clinch the No. 1 seed in the cluster with one win in their final two games. ### Goffstown (6-1) - Hosts Spaulding (1-6) on Saturday; plays at Manchester Memorial (0-7) on Oct. 27. - Current position: First place in the North Conference and No. 2 seed in the cluster. - The Grizzlies have also clinched a playoff spot and would wrapup the North Conference title with one win in their final two games. Goffstown would be the No. 1 seed if it wins out and Winnacunnet loses both of its final two games. ### Exeter (5-2) - Plays at Manchester Memorial (0-7) on Friday; plays at Concord (2-5) on Oct. 27. - Current position: Second place in the East Conference and No. 3 seed in the cluster. - Exeter has won three in a row since dropping two straight and falling to 2-2, the Blue Hawks have all but locked up a playoff spot, as they own the head-to-head tiebreakers with Manchester Central, Bedford and Dover. One win in the final two games would make it official. ### Manchester Central (5-2) - Hosts Winnacunnet (7-0) on Friday; plays at Bedford (4-3) on Oct. 27. - Current position: Second place in the North Conference and No. 4 seed in the cluster. - The Little Green face the biggest swing, with a shot at the No. 1 seed still a possibility if they win out and get a lot of help, or they could miss the playoffs entirely even with a win over Winnacunnet this week. Central would clinch a playoff spot with a win over Winnacunnet and a Bedford loss to Dover. ### Bedford (4-3) - Hosts Dover (3-4) on Saturday; hosts Manchester Central (5-2) on Oct. 27. - Current position: Third place in the North Conference and outside of the playoffs. - The Bulldogs can't clinch a playoff spot this week, but a loss to Dover combined with a win by Central would eliminate Bedford. If Central loses, the finale between the two would be for the last playoff spot. **Eliminated:** Dover (3-4), Portsmouth (2-5), Concord (2-5), Spaulding (1-6), Manchester Memorial (0-7).
