The Milford High School girls volleyball team needed all five games to take care of Laconia Thursday in the Division II girls volleyball preliminary round.

The No. 4 Spartans won 25-21, 25-14, 15-25, 14-25, 15-7 to knock off the No. 13 Sachems and advance to the quarterfinals, where they'll face No. 5 St. Thomas at home on Saturday at 6 p.m. Laura Cannon and Bri Leonard [both played well](http://www.nashuatelegraph.com/sportshighschoolsports/893422-221/thursdays-high-school-wrapup.html?ref=nh-highschoolsports.com) for Milford (14-3).

St. Thomas [advanced by sweeping](http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20101029/GJSPORTS%5F01/710299855/-1/FOSSPORTS&ref=nh-highschoolsports.com) No. 12 Souhegan, 25-11, 25-13, 25-15\. Lauren Cordts and Isabella Stoupis turned in solid matches for the Sabers (7-10).

In Division III action, No. 7 Wilton-Lyndeborough fell to No. 10 Fall Mountain 3-2.
