Playoff Picture: Field Hockey (Oct. 17)

(Oct. 17) The final week of the field hockey regular season is here and there is still a lot to be sorted out in all three divisions.

That’s why we will be updating the playoff picture every day this week, to see where each team stands and what is on the line from day to day. Here is where every team is at going into the final week.

Note: For field hockey, Division I will have 12 teams, Division II and III will have 11 teams. Standings based off results reported to NHIAA.org and other media outlets. These are not official standings or pairings.

What we know …

• Keene has clinched the No. 1 seed.
• Dover has clinched the No. 2 seed.
• Exeter will clinch the No. 3 seed with a win or a tie against Nashua South. An Exeter loss to South would drop the Blue Hawks to No. 6 if Portsmouth beats Bedford or No. 7 if Bedford beats Portsmouth.
• Pinkerton has clinched a first-round bye. The Astros will be the No. 3 seed with an Exeter loss and the No. 4 seed with an Exeter win or tie.
• Winnacunnet will be either the No. 4 with an Exeter loss or the No. 5 seed with an Exeter win.
• Bedford could finish as high as No. 5 with a win over Portsmouth and an Exeter loss or tie. The Bulldogs can finish no lower than No. 7.
• Concord could finish as high as No. 5 with losses by Exeter and Bedford or as low as No. 7 with wins by Exeter and Bedford.
• Bishop Guertin has clinched the No. 8 seed.
• Salem will clinch the No. 9 seed with a win or tie against Windham.
• Timberlane has clinched a playoff spot.
