# Playoff Picture: Division III & IV Football (Sept. 18)

Here's a look at what the postseason fields would look like in Division III and IV football, if the playoffs started this week.

## Division III

This season, the top eight teams, based on football rating, make the postseason and are seeded 1-8.

**Playoff field (record, rating)**

1. Monadnock (3-0, 11.3333)
2. Stevens (3-0, 10.6667)
3. Trinity (3-0, 10.6667)
4. Campbell (3-0, 10.0000)
5. Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton (2-1, 8.0000)
6. Laconia (2-1, 6.6667)
7. Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough (1-2, 3.3333)
8. Lebanon (1-2, 3.3333)

**Outside:** Somersworth (0-3, 0.0000); Kearsarge-Mount Royal (0-3, 0.0000); Epping-Newmarket (0-3, 0.0000); Newport (0-3, 0.0000).

**Tiebreakers**

- Stevens wins the tiebreaker with Trinity thanks to a better quality of wins against tournament teams.
- Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough wins the tiebreaker with Lebanon thanks to a better rating against tournament teams.

**Quarterfinals**

- No. 8 Lebanon at No. 1 Monadnock
- No. 5 Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton at No. 4 Campbell
- No. 7 Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough at No. 2 Stevens
- No. 6 Laconia at No. 3 Trinity

**Games to watch:** Campbell at Laconia, Friday, 7 p.m.; Monadnock at Trinity, Saturday, 7 p.m.

## Division IV

This season, the top four teams, based on football rating, make the postseason and are seeded 1-4.

**Playoff field (record, rating)**

1. Newfound (2-0, 12.0000)
2. Franklin (2-0, 10.0000)
3. Winnisquam (2-0, 10.0000)
4. Bishop Brady (1-1, 5.0000)

**Outside:** Raymond (1-1, 5.0000); Mascoma Valley (0-2, 0.0000); Fall Mountain (0-2, 0.0000); Farmington-Nute (0-2, 0.0000).

**Tiebreakers**

- The tie between Franklin and Winnisquam cannot be broken at this time. For this week, we're using points scored (which is not an official NHIAA tiebreaker) to break the tie.
- Bishop Brady wins the tiebreaker with Raymond thanks to a better rating in home games against divisional opponents.

**Semifinals**

- No. 4 Bishop Brady at No. 1 Newfound
- No. 3 Winnisquam at No. 2 Franklin
