# Playoff Picture: Division III & IV Football (Oct. 27)

The regular season is just about done and Division III and IV football will begin the playoffs next weekend.

Here is a look at the projected playoff field for both divisions. In D3, the top eight teams, based on point rating, make the playoffs and are seeded Nos. 1-8\. In D4, the top four teams, also based on point rating, make the playoffs and are seeded Nos. 1-4\. Official pairings will be released by the NHIAA on Monday.

### Division III

There is still one game remaining on the schedule, with Trinity hosting Somersworth at 7 p.m. Sunday night at Gill Stadium. Here are how the standings look with that one game remaining, and the scenarios of what the playoffs would look like.

1. Monadnock (9-0, 18.6667)
2. Campbell (7-2, 12.4444)
3. Trinity (6-2, 12.5000)\*
4. Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton (6-3, 11.1111)
5. Lebanon (6-3, 10.2222)
6. Laconia (6-3, 9.5556)
7. Stevens (5-4, 7.3333)
8. Somersworth (4-4, 6.0000)\*
9. Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough (1-8, 2.4444)
10. Epping-Newmarket (1-8, 1.3333)
11. Kearsarge-Mount Royal (1-8, 1.3333)
12. Newport (1-8, 1.3333)

The top eight teams have all clinched a playoff spot.

**Scenario No. 1**

If Trinity beats Somersworth on Sunday, the playoffs will likely look like:

1. Monadnock (9-0, 18.6667)
2. Trinity (7-2, 13.1111)
3. Campbell (7-2, 12.4444)
4. Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton (6-3, 11.1111)
5. Lebanon (6-3, 10.2222)
6. Laconia (6-3, 9.5556)
7. Stevens (5-4, 7.3333)
8. Somersworth (4-5, 5.3333)

**Quarterfinals (Saturday, Nov. 3)**

- No. 8 Somersworth at No. 1 Monadnock
- No. 5 Lebanon at No. 4 Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton
- No. 7 Stevens at No. 2 Trinity
- No. 6 Laconia at No. 3 Campbell

**Scenario No. 2**

If Somersworth beats Trinity, the playoffs will likely look like:

1. Monadnock (9-0, 18.6667)
2. Campbell (7-2, 12.4444)
3. Trinity (6-3, 11.1111)
4. Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton (6-3, 11.1111)
5. Lebanon (6-3, 10.2222)

8. Stevens (5-4, 7.3333)

Trinity would win the tiebreaker with Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton thanks to a head-to-head victory.

**Quarterfinals (Saturday, Nov. 3)**

- No. 8 Stevens at No. 1 Monadnock
- No. 5 Lebanon at No. 4 Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton
- No. 7 Somersworth at No. 2 Campbell
- No. 6 Laconia at No. 3 Trinity

### Division IV

There is still one game remaining on the schedule, as Farmington-Nute will host Bishop Brady at 2 p.m. on Sunday. The result of the game will have no barring on the playoffs, so here is the projected playoff pairings for the division.
