# Playoff Picture: Division III football

It's been an incredible start to the season for the Monadnock High School football team.

The Huskies, who dropped down to Division III after spending the last three years in Division II, have opened the year with three straight wins, outscoring opponents 132-0.

That's right, Monadnock has yet to allow a single point this season. But yet, if the postseason were to start this week, the Huskies would not be the top seed in the North Conference.

Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough is currently in that position, as the Lakers are also 3-0, have outscored their opposition 131-13, including a 48-0 win last week in a rematch of last year's championship game against Newport.

ILM and Monadnock will have a chance to go head-to-head for the inside track at the top seed next week.

Here is a look at what the Division III postseason would like if the playoffs started this week.

**Playoff teams:** Bishop Brady, Campbell, Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough, Monadnock, Newport, Somersworth, Stevens, Winnisquam.

**Quarterfinal matchups:** No. 4-S Somersworth at No. 1-N Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough; No. 3-S Campbell at No. 2-N Monadnock; No. 4-N Newport at No. 1-S Winnisquam; No. 3-N Stevens at No. 2-S Bishop Brady.

**Scenarios:** Bishop Brady and Campbell are currently tied for the second seed out of the South, while Somersworth and Franklin are tied for the fourth seed.

**Games to watch this week:** Bishop Brady at Winnisquam, Fridany, 7 p.m.; Campbell at Epping-Newmarket, Saturday, 1:30 p.m.; Stevens at Newport, Saturday, 1:30 p.m.
