Playoff Picture: Division III boys hockey (Jan. 30)

It’s a little more than four weeks until the start of the Division III boys hockey postseason in New Hampshire, so here is a look at where each team stands and who is in and who is out in all four divisions.

Note: With the NHIAA’s new 70-percent rule in place for the postseason, Division III will have nine playoff teams. Standings based off results reported to NHIAA.org.

Tiebreakers

• Belmont-Gilford wins the tiebreaker with Somersworth-Coe-Brown thanks to a better rating against tournament teams.

Rising: Monadnock won two out of three games last week, by combined score of 11-1, and jumped back into the playoffs, moving up to eighth into the standings.

Falling: Although its only dropped one spot in the standings, John Stark-Hopkinton has lost two of three games to drop to sixth.
