# Playoff Picture: Division II Football (Oct. 27)

With one game remaining on the Division II schedule, the playoff field is almost complete.

St. Thomas will play at Hollis Brookline at 2 p.m. on Sunday in what will be an elimination game for the Cavaliers. If HB wins, it's in the playoffs, while a loss will knock the Cavs out and put Hanover in the postseason.

Here is what the projected playoff field would look like under both scenarios. In D2, the top team from each conference get the top two seeds, based on football rating, and the next six best teams, based on football rating, are seeded Nos. 3-8\. Official pairings will be released by the NHIAA on Monday.

Following are the standings at the moment.

### North Conference

Plymouth and St. Thomas have wrapped up the top two seeds and Alvirne and Bow will be the Nos. 3 and 4 seeds. Souhegan, Milford and John Stark have all clinched playoff spots. That leaves one playoff spot that will be taken by Hanover or Hollis Brookline.

### Scenario No. 1

If St. Thomas beats Hollis Brookline, then the playoff field would look like:

### Scenario No. 2

If Hollis Brookline beats St. Thomas, then the playoff field would look like:

In this scenario, John Stark and Hanover would tie for the final playoff spot, with the Generals getting the tiebreaker thanks to a head-to-head victory.
