With three weeks left in the season, two teams look to have a pretty good handle on first place in their respective conference, while the other two are still up in the air. Some of that will get sorted out this weekend, but a lot of it won't. Here's a look at how Division II stands with three weeks to go. *Note: Unlike Division I, first tiebreakers in D2 are determined based on rating, rather than head-to-head competition.* ## East Conference 1. St. Thomas (5-1, 10.67 rating) 2. Merrimack Valley (3-2, 7.20) 3. Kingswood (2-3, 4.40) 4. Pembroke (1-5, 1.67) 5. Manchester West (0-5, 0.00) **If the conference title game was this week:** Merrimack Valley at St. Thomas. The Saints won the regular season meeting 17-12 on Sept. 20\. Kingswood still has a chance to sneak into the game, but it would likely have to beat St. Thomas and Kennett, and have Merrimack Valley lose two of its final three (vs. Laconia, vs. Plymouth, at Pembroke). ## North Conference 1. Kennett (5-0, 12.40) 2. Lebanon (4-1, 10.80) 3. Laconia (4-1, 10.80) 4. Kearsarge (3-2, 7.60) 5. Plymouth (1-4, 2.80) 6. Hanover (1-4, 2.40) **If the conference title game was this week:** Lebanon at Kennett. Lebanon and Laconia have the same record and the same rating, but the Raiders hold the head-to-head win. Kennett travels to Lebanon this Friday and hosts Laconia on Oct. 24\. A loss in both of those games could knock the Eagles out and put Lebanon and Laconia in the title game. Kearsarge, with games left against Laconia and Lebanon, still has an outside shot. ## South Conference 1. Windham (5-0, 12.80) 2. Milford (4-2, 10.33) 3. Souhegan (3-2, 8.80) 4. Trinity (3-2, 8.40) 5. Pelham (2-3, 4.80) **If the conference title game was this week:** Milford at Windham. These two teams will meet in Milford on Oct. 24, and the Spartans may need to win that game to keep their spot in the conference game. Souhegan and Trinity play on Friday, and the winner of that game could end up sneaking past Milford and into the spot opposite Windham. ## West Conference 1. Hollis Brookline (3-3, 7.33) 2. Sanborn (2-3, 5.20) 3. Monadnock (2-3, 4.80) 4. John Stark (2-4, 3.67) 5. ConVal (0-5, 0.00) **If the conference title game was this week:** Sanborn at Hollis Brookline. This game would likely have to be played at Sanborn, since, in the past, the NHIAA has deemed HBHS unable to host a football playoff game. The Indians won the regular-season meeting 14-13 on Sept. 20\. Monadnock can change things in the next two weeks, as it hosts Sanborn on Friday, and then heads to Hollis Brookline on Oct. 25. ### Key games on the schedule - Friday, Oct. 17: Laconia at Merrimack Valley. - Friday, Oct. 17: Kennett at Lebanon. - Friday, Oct. 17: Souhegan at Trinity. - Saturday, Oct. 18: Sanborn at Monadnock. - Friday, Oct. 24: Laconia at Kennett. - Friday, Oct. 24: Windham at Milford. - Saturday, Oct. 25: Monadnock at Hollis Brookline. - Friday, Oct. 31: Souhegan at Pelham. - Saturday, Nov. 1: Trinity at St. Thomas. - Saturday, Nov. 1: Monadnock at Windham.
