# Playoff Picture: Division I football

If the regular season ended this week, Pinkerton and Salem would meet again in the South Conference title game.

With four weeks remaining in the regular season, its time to start thinking about the postseason. Here's a look at where Division I football teams stand, who still has a shot and which games will be important down the stretch.

## East Conference

1. Portsmouth (4-1, 10.8 rating)
2. Exeter (3-2, 7.2)
3. Spaulding (2-3, 4.0)
4. Winnacunnet (1-4, 2.0)
5. Dover (0-5, 0.0)

**If the conference title game was this week:** Exeter at Portsmouth. Those two do play this weekend, Friday at Exeter.

**Head-to-head tiebreakers:** Portsmouth over Spaulding; Exeter over Spaulding, Winnacunnet; Spaulding and Winnacunnet over Dover.

## North Conference

1. Bedford (5-0, 15.2)
2. Concord (4-1, 9.2)
3. Goffstown (3-2, 7.6)
4. Manchester Memorial (3-2, 7.6)
5. Manchester Central (0-5, 0.0)

**If the conference title game was this week:** Concord at Bedford. They will play on Oct. 17 in Bedford.

**Head-to-head tiebreakers:** Bedford over Manchester Memorial; Concord over Goffstown, Manchester Central; Manchester Memorial over Concord.

## South Conference

1. Pinkerton (5-0, 16.0)
2. Salem (4-1, 10.8)
3. Londonderry (4-1, 9.6)
4. Merrimack (2-3, 4.4)
5. Timberlane (1-4, 2.4)

**If the conference title game was this week:** Salem at Pinkerton.\* The Astros defeated Salem 14-7 on Sept. 20.

**Head-to-head tiebreakers:** Pinkerton over Salem, Londonderry; Salem and Londonderry over Timberlane.

## West Conference

1. Nashua South (3-2, 8.0)
2. Alvirne (3-2, 7.6)
3. Nashua North (2-3, 5.2)
4. Bishop Guertin (1-4, 2.0)
5. Keene (0-5, 0.0)

**If the conference title game was this week:** Alvirne at Nashua South.\* The two will play Friday at Alvirne.

**Head-to-head tiebreakers:** Nashua South over Nashua North; Alvirne over Nashua North, Keene; Bishop Guertin over Keene.

\*Football Point Rating was used to break ties here to determine conference title game opponents, however, head-to-head competition will be used by the NHIAA at the end of the regular season to determine participants for championship games.
