Playoff Picture: Division I Football (Oct. 17)

There are just two weeks left in the Division I football regular season, and it seems there is only one team that's locked up a playoff spot.

Bedford (7-0) is the last undefeated team in the division and has already clinched first place in the North Conference, meaning the Bulldogs will have at least one playoff home game this year. A win this week, and a Merrimack loss to Nashua North, and Bedford would wrapup home games for the first two rounds.

While there still might be too many moving parts to declare who is in this week (although it will be attempted, for sure), it is easier to say who could be - and is - out.

Nashua South was eliminated with its loss to Goffstown last weekend, and Exeter, while mathematically still alive, is likely out after losing to Dover. No team with more than three losses has made the playoffs in D1 since 2014.

With that in mind, it's a big week for Dover (at Londonderry) and Windham (at Pinkerton) and for Concord and Manchester Central, with the loser of that game likely being eliminated.

Here’s what the D1 postseason would look like if the playoffs started this week.
