When the regular season is only nine games long, it's never too early to start thinking of the playoffs. Here's where the teams in Division I football stand after seven weeks.

**Note:** The NHIAA will be using head-to-head results as the first tiebreaker for postseason qualification, but because not every team has played each other yet, football rating is used here, unless otherwise noted.

## East/South Cluster

### East Conference

**Conference winners:** Exeter and Salem. **Next two:** Timberlane and Pinkerton.

**Quarterfinals:** Pinkerton at Exeter; Timberlane at Salem. Exeter has already clinched the East Conference Championship, and will wrapup the top seed in the cluster with one more win. Salem gets the nod at the South Champion for now because it holds the tiebreakers. Merrimack and Winnacunnet both remain alive, but need some help.

**Key games this week:** Exeter at Merrimack; Londonderry at Winnacunnet.

## West/North Cluster

**Conference winners:** Goffstown and Bishop Guertin. **Next two:** Bedford and Nashua North.

**Quarterfinals:** Nashua North at Goffstown; Bedford at Bishop Guertin.The Cardinals took control of the West Conference with a win over the Titans, and would have to lose both their remaining games (at Goffstown, vs. South), with North winning both its games (vs. Memorial, vs. Keene), to not win the conference. Likewise, Goffstown would also have to lose out (vs. Bishop Guertin, at Memorial), and Bedford would have to win out (vs. Alvirne, vs. Central), to see a change in the North Conference. Central, Concord and Keene are all still alive, but its the Blackbirds who might have the best chance if it wins out. Keene ends the season with Concord and North.
