With four games last week between teams with identical 2-0 records, there was going to be a handful of teams at 3-0 and a handful of teams at 2-1.

Perhaps what was unexpected was how some of those games played out, as Goffstown and Winnacunnet pulled off stunning wins over the participants of last year's Division I championship game, Exeter and Bedford, respectively. Londonderry and Salem also handed Nashua North and Pinkerton their first losses of the season last weekend, and Merrimack suffered its first defeat at the hands of Nashua South.

The way last week played out makes this week - and the rest of the season - a little more intriguing, as a trio of rivalry games take center stage. North and South will battle for the top spot in the West Conference on Friday, while Londonderry and Pinkerton renew acquaintances for Mack Plaque weekend, with kickoff also on Friday.

And on Saturday, Winnacunnet heads to Exeter for a game that has been close the last few years, regardless of either teams' record going in to it.

Here’s a look at what the D1 postseason field would be like if the playoffs started this week.
