# Playoff Picture: Division I football (Oct. 9)

The Division I regular season is two-thirds of the way done, and one side of the bracket looks to be already filled out.

With Nashua North and Merrimack both falling to 3-3 last week, and at the hands of Pinkerton and Londonderry, respectively, it seems that the four playoff spots are all but mathematically locked up.

Both the Titans and the Tomahawks have tough schedules remaining - both have to play Salem, while Merrimack will also face Pinkerton to end the regular season. Not only would either one have to win out, they'd also need a lot of help.

North would appear to have a better chance, with games against Bishop Guertin and Keene still to go, but because the Titans lose the head-to-head tiebreaker with Nashua South, the Panthers would likely have to lose their final three games for North to get into the playoffs.

On the other side, Goffstown's win over Bedford likely means the Grizzlies will be in the playoffs for the third year in a row, along with Winnacunnet. Manchester Central and Exeter both have a lot of work left to do, especially the Little Green, who face Goffstown, Winnacunnet and Bedford to finish the season.
