# Playoff Picture: Division I boys hockey (Jan. 30)

It’s a little more than four weeks until the start of the Division I boys hockey postseason in New Hampshire, so here is a look at where each team stands and who is in and who is out in all four divisions.

*Note: With the NHIAA’s new 70-percent rule in place for the postseason, Division I boys hockey will have nine playoff teams. Standings based off results reported to NHIAA.org.*

### Division I

**Playoff field**

1. Bedford (11-0-1, 3.8333)
2. Concord (9-1, 3.6000)
3. Pinkerton (7-2, 3.1111)
4. Londonderry (7-3, 2.8000)
5. Hanover (7-3, 2.8000)
6. Salem (5-3-2, 2.4000)
7. Bishop Guertin (5-3-2, 2.4000)
8. Manchester Central (5-5, 2.0000)
9. Exeter (2-7, 0.8889)

**Outside:** Bishop Brady (2-7, 0.8889); Nashua South-Pelham (2-7, 0.8889); Trinity (1-8-1, 0.6000); Nashua North-Souhegan (1-8, 0.4444); Manchester Memorial (1-9, 0.4000).

**Tiebreakers**

- Londonderry wins the tiebreaker with Hanover thanks to a head-to-head win over the Marauders
- Salem wins the tiebreaker with Bishop Guertin thanks to a better quality of wins against tournament teams.
- Exeter wins the three-way tiebreaker with Bishop Brady and Nashua South-Pelham thanks to head-to-wins victories against both teams.

**Rising:** Hanover has continued its run of success, having won five in a row and seven of its last eight to move up to fifth in the standings. The Marauders finish up a stretch of three straight road games at Pinkerton on Wednesday.

**Falling:** Bishop Guertin has lost two in a row to fall to seventh in the standings. The Cardinals could bounce back with games at home against Bishop Brady and Nashua North-Souhegan this week.

**First-round game**

- No. 9 Exeter at No. 8 Manchester Central

**Quarterfinal matchups**

- Exeter/Central winner at No. 1 Bedford
- No. 5 Hanover at No. 4 Londonderry
- No. 7 Bishop Guertin at No. 2 Concord
- No. 6 Salem at No. 3 Pinkerton
