# Playoff Picture: Division I boys hockey (Feb. 6)

It’s a little more than three weeks until the start of the Division I boys hockey postseason in New Hampshire, so here is a look at where each team stands and who is in and who is out in all four divisions.

*Note: With the NHIAA’s new 70-percent rule in place for the postseason, Division I boys hockey will have nine playoff teams. Standings based off results reported to NHIAA.org.*

### Division I

**Playoff field**

1. Bedford (12-0-1, 3.8462)
2. Concord (11-1, 3.6667)
3. Pinkerton (9-2-1, 3.1667)
4. Londonderry (8-4, 2.6667)
5. Salem (7-3-2, 2.6667)
6. Hanover (8-4, 2.6667)
7. Bishop Guertin (7-3-2, 2.6667)
8. Manchester Central (5-7, 1.6667)
9. Bishop Brady (3-8-1, 1.1667)

**Outside:** Exeter (3-9, 1.0000); Trinity (1-8-3, 0.8333); Nashua South-Pelham (2-10, 0.6667); Nashua North-Souhegan (1-10, 0.3636); Manchester Memorial (1-11, 0.3333).

**Tiebreakers**

- Londonderry wins the four-way tiebreaker with Bishop Guertin, Hanover and Salem. The Lancers and Blue Devils come out ahead of the Cardinals and Marauders thanks to a better rating against tournament teams, and Londonderry holds the head-to-head win over Salem. Salem wins the tiebreaker with Hanover and Bishop Guertin thanks to head-to-head rating. Hanover wins the tiebreaker with Bishop Guertin thanks to a head-to-head win.

**Rising:** After going 1-3-2 over a six-game stretch, Salem has won three in a row to remain in a high playoff spot.

**Falling:** Exeter has lost two in a row and five of the last six to fall out of the final playoff spot.

**First-round game**

- No. 9 Bishop Brady at No. 8 Manchester Central

**Quarterfinal matchups**

- Bishop Brady/Central winner at No. 1 Bedford
- No. 5 Salem at No. 4 Londonderry
- No. 7 Bishop Guertin at No. 2 Concord
- No. 6 Hanover at No. 3 Pinkerton
