Playoff Picture: D1 Boys Basketball (Feb. 25)

There's just one day of games remaining in the Division I boys basketball regular season and there's still a lot that could happen, with teams fighting for seeding from the top to the bottom of the standings.

Here is where every team stands, plus scenarios for each team that's still alive for a playoff spot, heading into Tuesday's games.

• In a three-way tiebreaker, Trinity finishes ahead of Nashua South and Exeter thanks to a better rating against tournament teams.
• Nashua South wins the tiebreaker with Exeter thanks to a head-to-head victory.
• Keene wins the tiebreaker with Alvirne thanks to a head-to-head victory.
• Manchester Memorial wins the tiebreaker with Windham thanks to a head-to-head victory.
• In a three-way tiebreaker, Bishop Guertin, Goffstown and Londonderry finish in that order thanks to rating against tournament teams.
• In a three-way tiebreaker for the final playoff spot, Salem, Dover and Spaulding finish in that order thanks to rating against tournament teams.

Scenarios

• Bedford clinches the No. 1 seed with a win over Spaulding.
• Portsmouth clinches the No. 1 seed with a win over Goffstown and a Bedford loss.
• Bedford and Portsmouth will finish no worse than top five.
• Trinity clinches the No. 1 seed with a win over Manchester Memorial and losses by Bedford and Portsmouth.
• Nashua South clinches a top four seed with a win over Concord. South could finish top four with a loss, but would also need losses by Exeter and Keene. The Panthers would be the No. 2 seed with a win, a win by Bedford and losses by Trinity and Portsmouth.
• Exeter could finish in the top four with a win over Manchester Central and a loss by Trinity or South. The Blue Hawks would be the No. 3 seed with a win, a Trinity win and a South loss.
• Trinity, South, Exeter, Keene and Alvirne can finish no lower than No. 7.
• Manchester Memorial clinches the No. 8 seed with a win over Trinity.
• Windham clinches the No. 8 seed with a win over Alvirne and a Memorial loss.
• Bishop Guertin could finish as high as No. 8 with a win over Winnacunnet and losses by Memorial and Windham.
• Londonderry would be the No. 8 seed with a win over Keene and losses by Windham, Memorial and Bishop Guertin.
• Goffstown would be the No. 8 seed with a win over Portsmouth and losses by Windham, Memorial, Bishop Guertin and Londonderry.
• Merrimack would move up to No. 12 with a win over Nashua North and a loss by Londonderry and wins by Goffstown and Bishop Guertin. Otherwise, the Tomahawks will be the No. 13 seed.
• Winnacunnet clinches the No. 14 seed with a win over Bishop Guertin or a loss and a Spaulding loss. The Warriors have clinched a playoff spot.
• Salem clinches the No. 15 seed with a win over Timberlane.
• Dover clinches the No. 15 seed with a win over Pinkerton and a Salem loss.
• Spaulding clinches a playoff spot with a win over Bedford and losses by Salem and Dover. That combined with a Winnacunnet loss would give Spaulding the No. 14 seed; the Red Raiders would be the No. 15 seed with that and a Winnacunnet win.
• If Pinkerton beats Dover and Salem loses to Timberlane and Spaulding loses to Bedford, the Astros would clinch the No. 15 seed.

Playoff Schedule

• Prelims: March 5, at home of higher seed.
• Quarterfinals: March 8, at home of higher seed.
• Semifinals: March 12, at the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center, Rochester.
• Championship: March 16, at the University of New Hampshire, Durham.
